Hosting Purple Martins at Orange Lake Overlook

In 2025, Marion Audubon donated and installed a second rack for the purple Martins when the initial rack quickly filled to capacity. We love providing a nesting structure at a beautiful park which gives the public the opportunity to see these fabulous birds up close. Not just Purple Martins! Orange Lake Overlook has become a popular destination for birds and birders during the year, and especially during migration! As of summer 2025, 200 species have been documented!
